greetings second wind family < 3 these days i’m overcome with summer camp energy, as i like to call it. summer has become the time i feel most alive and productive and driven with my personal pursuits. a season of creativity and motion! and this year i feel the same energy. i love the long days and waking up with the sun. quiet and bright early morning hours to sit with or write down thoughts and ideas that continue to bubble and change form as i walk mounty around the neighborhood, and then develop further as i go for my morning run or gym time - be they words, shapes, images. last summer i had a ceramics fellowship to give me a bit of structure with the doing, but this year i’m relying on myself and listening to my own beat of inspiration to follow wherever it leads. i’m pumped about making. PLEASE let me know what summer projects you all are working on or have in mind : ) i wanna hear about yours and talk about them with you!
there is one special project that has stood the test of time and speaks to me year-round….. second wind : ) LOL. and lucky for me, there’s a new episode this weekend!!!

second wind returns this sunday, july 5 at an earlier time, 4-6p! featuring very special guest……… cynthia !!!!!! i had the time of my life running around london last fall, and while there i was lucky to have been introduced to cynthia in one of the best ways possible - through trusted and beloved mutual friends. in this case, that friend was our bro naavin, who saw the vision lol < 3 we exchanged a few texts to coordinate a chat, and a fall weekday morning coffee/bite at cafe OTO turned into a sprawling, honest, and energizing hang touching all aspects of life and the journey through it : ) through our conversation that day and the ones we’ve had since, i’ve learned that cynthia is kind, ever-curious and generous, an earnest sponge for culture with incredible taste, building beautiful, thoughtful IRL moments around sharing and celebrating the art and artists that move her, with the hope they will move you, too. this could be in the form of a simple recommendation to you as a friend, or on her own brilliant NTS show Finest Hour. maybe it’s through her curatorial work as part of Prologue+ alongside her friend Moyin, or via her own recently-launched creative agency C-Studios. she’s bursting with the energy to see, to experience, to share, and to do! and that is so, so beautiful and inspiring to me! i’m so happy to share this very special space with her, too! i can’t wait to hear what she plays : )
